Another informative generalization

A friend sent me this article this morning about the differences between European and American email culture. While it was interesting to think about it is obviously overly generalized. I know that I tend to write emails in different ways depending on the audience (which is the same for when I write in other mediums and when I speak). For example, when I am trying to fix a technical problem I tend to be very specific and try to think about my message. On the other hand, when I am catching up with some old friends I just fire off the giant “brain dump” style email.

Put another way, not earth shattering and highly stereotypical.

My First Blog Entry

Since everyone else seems to have a blog I figured I would give it a try. I am hoping that it doesn’t fall of my radar screen since I seem to have a lot of opinions that I might as well share with everyone. But I suppose that this is just for my own vanity since my opinion isn’t really that earth-shattering and I have no real influence (except my ability to get my dog to sit).
